Information About AIPMT 2012
With the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination, 2012 just around the corner, candidates are scurrying to register for the same. Candidates can apply for 2012’s All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination (AIPMT) online. In fact, only online applications are being accepted. PMT 2012 Fees
Knowing about the fee details of the two phased AIPMT is very important. Without late fees candidates can fill up application forms between 26.12.2011 and 25.01.2012. In that case a general or OBC candidate is required to pay Rs 1000 and SC, ST and PH students need to par Rs 550. Candidates who apply from 26.01.2012 to 08.02.2012 will have to pay an additional first late fee along with the fee. For the OBC and the general candidates the fee and first late fee is Rs 1500, while for scheduled tribe, scheduled caste and PH candidates it is Rs 1050. For candidates who apply between 09.02.2012 and 24.02.2012, a second late fee will have to be paid along with the usual fee. OBC and the general candidates fee plus second late fee equals to Rs 2000 and for SC, ST and PH candidates fee plus second late fee equals to Rs 1550.
PMT 2012 Exam Fee : Mode of Payment
The examination fees can be paid either through Demand Draft or with a Credit or Debit Card. Candidates planning to pay the fees through Demand Drafts should get the Demand Draft made before filling up the application form online. Once the application form is filled up completely, candidates will get a confirmation and address slip. They are required to complete all the steps clearly mentioned on the website, before dispatching the application form.
PMT 2012 Exam Date & Syllabus
The PMT 2012 preliminary examination will be held on 01.04.2012 while the final examination will be held on 13.05.2012. The prelims include just one paper with 200 objective type questions. The questions are from Biology, Physics and Chemistry and the duration is three hours. The final examination is held only for examinees who pass in the preliminary examination. No separate fee is required for candidates appearing in the final examination. The final examination has one paper with 120 objective type questions from Biology, Physics and Chemistry. Candidates get 3 hours to answer the questions.
